The campaign was implemented with great support and cooperation by benefactors and philanthropists from individuals, government and private agencies and departments, benefiting 177,000 people from inside and outside the country, pointing out that the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah initiatives achieved AED4 million from the total donations of philanthropists.
Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Charity International, stressed that the Eid Al Adha campaign represents an honourable model for charitable and humanitarian work, and promotes the concept of humanitarian work to be one of the pillars of human building, explaining that the concept of charitable and humanitarian work in the UAE is not limited to providing material assistance only, but rather is an integrated system whose success is shared by all those who live in the UAE.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Charity International pointed out that these large numbers of sacrifices and other initiatives accompanying the campaign won great support from the benefactors, which confirms the success of the policy drawn up by the board of directors, stressing that the Eid Al Adha campaign has achieved great success, and the focus, during the coming period, will be on the development of projects and donation services.
For his part, Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of SCI, said that the projects of the Eid Al Adha campaign included the distribution of sacrificial meat to 33,000 beneficiaries.
He explained that the campaign projects also included the "Day of Arafa" initiative to treat patients and distribute 10,000 meals at a cost of AED150,000, in addition to the expansion of the dialysis clinic project by increasing the capacity from 16 to 24 sessions.
