Sharjah 24: Sharjah Art Foundation has launched its summer and fall 2021 exhibitions programme, which includes solo exhibitions by artists from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, as well as international exhibitions organised in collaboration with a number of art institutions around the world, as well as annual events highlighting the work of local and international artists, filmmakers, and publishers.
Under the supervision of Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President and Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, the programme features the exhibitions "Forever... Rain will be made of lead" and "When I count...there is no one but you." The exhibitions include works from previous exhibitions and Sharjah Biennials, as well as new collections.
The summer programme also includes the third edition of the exhibition "Sharjah - Japan," titled "Insurmountable Tranquility," which explores the intimate role of the arts in the life of society through public education and an interactive approach to art.
The Autumn programme provides a number of exhibitions, including “The Other Side of Silence” by Sargsyan, which will run from October 30, 2021 to January 30, 2022.
This will be followed by the exhibition "Incoming Creatures" by the Otolith Group, from 13 November 2021 to 13 February 2022.
In addition to its Sharjah exhibitions, the Foundation organizes a number of international exhibitions in collaboration with international art institutions.
