Sharjah 24: Based on a ruling issued against them by the Kalba Court of First Instance, the Public Prosecution (PP) decided to compel citizens convicted in various traffic cases to perform community service for a month and a half in the first case, and two months in the second case, after they were convicted in traffic cases instead of the legally prescribed penalty.
The defendants were ordered by the court to clean and maintain public amenities, roads, public squares, beaches, parks, and reserves in the city of Kalba.
The director of the Kalba Public Prosecution, Dr. Saeed Belhaj, affirmed that the Public Prosecution always aims to bring about a fundamental change in the accused's behaviour by mentally and intellectually reforming them.
