Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Abdul Razzaq Ahmed Bani Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, confirmed that the club’s champions continue to achieve success in local and international sports events, despite the great impact of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sports sector globally.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Razzaq Ahmed Bani Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, revealed a pleasant surprise that will be announced during the next few days related to the club's participation in the national team in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he said that the club, despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, succeeded in securing its coaches, players and employees significantly within a well-studied strategy that takes into account strict precautionary measures.
He explained that despite the repercussions of the spread of the pandemic on the field of sports globally, the club’s champions succeeded in continuing creativity and sports achievement in local, regional and international events.
He added that the club won two silver medals for powerlifters in the Fazza International Championship last week, and is participating in a number of tournaments in athletics, including a championship in Turkey.
Bin Rashid valued the unlimited support given by the wise leadership to champions with disabilities, which enables them to raise the flag of UAE in major sporting events around the world, praising the perseverance of the club’s people in achieving one achievement after another.
