The Amphitheatre debuted with a screening of the film "Khorfakkan," which was based on a book authored by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Khorfakkan's resistance to the Portuguese invasion, and then it became the city's beating heart, and months after its official opening, it became a destination for the city's residents and visitors. The amphitheatre represents the integration of architectural creativity and the aesthetics of the city.
The amphitheatre, which spans 1,700 square metres and features 234 arches and 295 columns, can cope up with more than 3,500 people. It is outfitted with the most up-to-date ventilation systems and technical equipment, as well as advanced sound and lighting technologies, making it a perfect venue for a variety of performances and events.
A waterfall, with a height of 45 metres and a width of 11 metres, is located next to the amphitheatre and was created to mimic natural waterfalls with a spectacular flow of water from the top of the cave to the foot of the mountain.
