Sharjah 24: Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf, Assistant Director-General of the Membership Services Sector at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), revealed that the number of employees of the Sharjah Export Development Centre reached 4,000, including 2500 factories, with their exports amounting to about 30 billion dirhams annually.
Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf, Assistant Director-General for Membership Services Sector at SCCI, confirmed that SCCI launched the Sharjah Export Development Centre in 2015, which aims to market industrial products to SCCI’s members, and help them to open new export markets. He maintained that SCCI is currently working on a number of markets, including Eastern and Central Africa and the Russian Federation market, in addition to Eastern European countries.
He added to “Sharjah 24” that Sharjah Export Development Centre has 4,000 members, including more than 2,500 factories, and their industrial production is 30 billion dirhams annually. Most of the industrial products are exported to various markets.
Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf indicated that the plans of SCCI and Sharjah Export Development Centre aim to increase the number of exports by no less than 10% during the next three years, pointing out that they are organising trade missions to several markets, and participating in the most important international exhibitions to promote the national product.
