Sharjah 24: Sharjah Education Council (SEC) concluded the sports tournament, traditionally organised as part of the students’ activities, aimed at promoting competitions, through electronic communication, in an electronic football championship (PlayStation Football).
SEC Championship enjoyed a broad participation by students. The championship was organised on twitch.tv to encourage students to enrich their abilities, create an atmosphere of healthy competition and create enjoyable times within the framework of the Council’s educational goals and objectives.
The Emirates Electronic Sports Association co-organised the Championship, accepting thirty students, within the 12-16 age group, to compete in the PlayStation Football, moreover, the Association applied a number of rules to qualify players.
Aisha Ahmed Al Jarman, Director of Care and Activities at Sharjah Education Council, explained that the Council, within the framework of its various programmes targeting students, is keen to organise activities converged with its goals. Al Jarman added that SEC aims to organise activities that serve the educational process, and aim at creating an atmosphere of healthy competition among students within the Championship.
