Sharjah 24: Sharjah Parents Council organised an initiative to distribute Iftar meals to workers on Zayed Humanitarian Day. This initiative is part of the Council’s efforts in line with the spirit of giving and generosity that prevails in the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative is held on the annual Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, the 19th Ramadan, coinciding with the anniversary of the death of the Founder of the country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
Through the initiative, the Council aims to consolidate this noble human feeling and the Islamic ethics represented by offering Iftar meals and donating money to workers that introduce joy and pleasure to their hearts.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Mualla, Chairman of Sharjah Parents Council, said that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which coincides with the anniversary of the death of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is one of the milestones in the national history of the United Arab Emirates and a national occasion through which we remember what has been achieved in our homeland.
Al Mualla added that the initiative of the Sharjah Parents Council is just one of the many charitable initiatives that have been implemented by the UAE institutions at the local and international levels to celebrate the legacy of the founder of the nation.
The initiative was held in the presence of Adel Muhammad Al Hammadi, member of the Council, Chairman of the Media Committee, who said that the initiative is part of the Council’s keenness to celebrate the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
