MoCD intensifies support for needy families on ZHD

The MoCD marked the event by delivering assistance to eligible categories of needy families all over the UAE under the initiative “Our Good Deeds For Our Families” and adopting humanitarian initiatives to promote family support as well as community activities carried out by the ministry's people of determination centers all over the UAE.

The ministry also honoured labourers and support group such as "office boys, drivers, cleaners and guards" staff who are working in the ministry on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day.

The ministry fulfilled the wishes of 12 children orphans as part of "Fi Al Shoufa" initiative which was organized by the ministry to celebrate Orphan Day in the Islamic world, coinciding 15th Ramadan and on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day. These events come as part of the ministry’s support efforts to bring delight and joy to children orphans through fulfilling their dreams and wishes.

The “Our Good Deeds for our Families” initiative implemented by the Non-Benefit Public Associations Department at the Ministry provided the required assistance for more than 1695 beneficiaries during 2020. Beginning this year and until April 2021, the number of beneficiaries of this initiative reached 890 people while the initiative is also expected to cover more than 1390 people during the holy month of Ramadan especially at Zayed Humanitarian Day and in the last days of the holy month until Eid Al fitr. The ministry also seeks to achieve a 100% increase in the number of beneficiaries from the “Our Good Deeds For Our Families” initiative this year compared to the initiative’s beneficiaries during 2020.

In collaboration with charity associations, philanthropists and volunteers, the "Good Deeds for Our Families” initiative promotes the concept of community responsibility, supports the culture of volunteering and promotes entrepreneurship and giving, within the active partnership with the civil and private sector as well as community members supporting the concepts of social responsibilities to provide financial and in-kind assistance and the required needs for needy and low-income families in various regions all over the UAE with the purpose of spreading happiness and joy among the needy families.

t the people of determination centers of the Ministry, the celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Day includes several initiatives and ideas that are being implemented remotely and interactively between the centers, parents and students of determination including different disability categories. The activities on this occasion are organized at: Early Intervention in Dubai, Dubai People of Determination Center, Ajman People of Determination Center, Um Al Qiwain Autism Center, Ras Al Khaimah People of Determination Center, Al Fujairah People of Determination Center, Dibba Al Fujairah People of Determination Center, Early Intervention Unit Centre in Al Fujairah, and Ajman Mashagel Centre.
