MoCD promotes family cohesion during Ramadan

Sharjah24: The Ministry of Community Development (MoCD) approved an exceptional program with quality events targeting initiatives and influential programs through social media during the holy month of Ramadan; a series of educational and social media workshops dedicated to promote communication, interaction during the holy month to support the ministry’s efforts in achieving family stability and community happiness; the program is broadcasted every day throughout the week via the Instagram of the Ministry of Community Development @mocduae.
During the holy month, the "School of Life" initiative is back as part of the initiatives offered by the National Program for Happiness and Wellbeing at the Ministry of Community Development, to achieve happiness and stability within the family members and society and seek wellbeing for everyone. The session series aimed at promoting daily life skills for members of the community shall be broadcasted in coordination with specialized experts in religious and health awareness, social relations and community participation, this comes through the live broadcasts on the happiness program’s social media platforms @happyuae on YouTube, Instagram and podcasts.

The Ramadan Program of the Ministry of Community Development 2021 features several themes that stimulate participation for various family members and as part of targeted initiatives called: "Ramadan Is Different”, "Minutes of Hope," "Youth and Ramadan," “Taaluf Live”, "Ramadan Lol", as well as the initiative of introducing the community members to a number of projects of Emirati productive families within food production.

The activities and programs of the Ministry of Community Development through social media include the episodes: "Ramadan Is Different" presented by Professor Ahmed Abdul Karim, one minute episode broadcasted once a week every Sunday to focus on the topics: communication with families during Ramadan, the schedule of worship for the family during Ramadan, the importance of volunteering and good deeds, consolidate family bonds and kinship in Ramadan. 

The program “Minutes of Hope” presented by Dr. Ammal Bint Falah Al Otaibi, (20) audio recorded episodes broadcasted on all communication channels and circulated through WhatsApp, provide tips for family members through Dr. Amal's "Cards of Wisdom".

“Taaluf Life" episodes continue every Wednesday during Ramadan on the Instagram of the Ministry of Community Development, starting with Dr. Ismail Al Buraimi entitled “Receiving Ramadan”, "Your Health in Ramadan" by Shorouk Al Maliki, and "Mental Health for Children and Adolescents” by Dr. Ammar Al Banna.

The ministry's Ramadan program via social media, includes weekly episodes every Friday, entitled "Ramadan Lol" for one minute presented by Khasiba Dahmani highlighting suhoor meal habits in the past, iftar meal habits in the past, Ramadan events in the past and how to receive Eid.

The Food Production Initiative focuses on introducing (30) food production shows for Emirati productive families to promote their food products during the holy month of Ramadan through social media channels and the ministry's website in contribution to increase their income and products. 

The "Youth and Ramadan" panel discussions will be presented weekly in collaboration with The Thousand Podcast attracting poets, content industry makers, artists and senior citizens to the puzzle paragraph.

The Ministry seeks to achieve positive communication among various community members during the holy month of Ramadan, based on the basis of sustainable interaction by reaching them in a way that suits the different groups of the society such family, senior citizens, youth, children and people of determination through smart programs and applications and e-platforms, in completion of the efforts of the Ministry and its keenness to continue providing proactive services at various times and achieve the principle of a "stable family, a cohesive society," especially in the current circumstances.
