Sharjah Police Academy council approves academic, training plan

Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of Sharjah Police Academy, chaired a virtual meeting of Sharjah Police Academy on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and a number of top council’s members. 

The council’s members discussed the activating of the competency development department, which was renewed recently within the administrative and organisational structure of the Academy, in which it concerned to qualifying and developing the skills and expertise of workers in the police and security field in the UAE. 

The meeting’s members also discussed the measures taken by the Academy related to the classification of the journal “Police and Legal Sciences” on the site (scoups) as it is the largest research database in the world. 

The council approved Academic programmes plan, new programmes, requirements for renewal, accreditation and academic licensing from the Ministry of Education.

The council reviewed the proposed executive draft, which included all academic regulations and also reviewed the recommendation of the virtual scientific conference held by the Academy recently. As well as the council briefed on the Academy of Police Sciences award for scientific research in its second edition.
