Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) concluded the 'First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation' course last Thursday at the Sharjah Chess Cultural Club, as part of its keenness to implement quality standards in terms of occupational health and safety.
The Development and Research Academy for Sports Science Activities (DRASSA) presented the course, which aims to educate participants to quickly and effectively deal with injuries and accidents. In addition to the ability to set priorities when providing first aid, among other axis related to handling of emergency situations and providing first aid.
His Excellency Issa Ali Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), indicated that the course was organised as part of SSC’s plans to hold workshops and awareness sessions for employees of various job grades, and to maintain high quality standards with regard to occupational health and safety.
