Albania caught the hosts off guard early, taking the lead through Rey Manaj in the 4th minute. However, Finland responded before the break when Leo Walta leveled the score in the 26th minute. Walta then struck again in the 71st minute, completing his brace to secure all three points for the Finnish side.

The win lifts Finland to seven points after three matches, building on an opening 7-0 rout of San Marino and a 0-0 draw with Belarus. Finland now sits one point clear at the top of the group above Albania, who remain on six points, while Belarus and San Marino trail behind.
