The ceremony was held in the presence of a large audience and several figures from the theatre and cultural community.

Abdullah Masoud, Head of the Festival’s Performances Committee, said the closing ceremony honoured winners across several categories, including three awards for female acting and three for male acting, as well as awards for scenography, directing, the Special Jury Award and Best Integrated Work.

Speaking to Sharjah24, Masoud said the awards mark an important milestone in the winners’ artistic careers and serve as an incentive for them to continue developing their creative work and to explore wider opportunities in theatre.

He highlighted the festival’s role in nurturing young talent and providing opportunities for emerging artists to express their creativity.

Masoud praised the Department of Culture for its support for the festival through training workshops, theatrical performances and organisational efforts, which contributed to enriching the cultural and artistic scene and strengthening the presence of theatre in the emirate.
