Sharjah24: Emirati women's investments in Sharjah's real estate sector totalled AED 2.7 billion between January and August 2026. These investments were spread across 3,385 properties, acquired by 3,737 female Emirati investors, reflecting their established status as active participants in the economic landscape and their high confidence in the emirate's economic and legislative environment.

Released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, these statistics coincide with the celebration of Emirati Women’s Day. They highlight the pivotal role played by women in the UAE in enhancing the real estate landscape and their mature investment awareness, which has led them to build sustainable capital assets in line with Sharjah's comprehensive development vision.

Statistical comparisons conducted by the department for the same periods in 2025 and 2026 revealed sustained growth in Emirati women's participation. The number of traded properties increased from 3,322 in 2025 to 3,385 in 2026, marking a 1.9% increase. Furthermore, the number of owners grew from 3,586 to 3,737, recording a 4.2% increase, while the trading value increased from AED 2.6 billion to AED 2.7 billion, with a growth rate of 1.2%.

In this context, Amal Obaid Hadid, Head of the Media Section at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, emphasised that celebrating Emirati Women's Day is a moment of pride in the honourable achievements of UAE women across all sectors.

Hadid stated: "These tangible real estate achievements are the result of the National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women (2023–2031), launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), and the ongoing efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, to invest in women's capabilities and to provide a legislative and societal environment that enhances their presence. At Sharjah’s Real Estate Registration Department, we remain committed to this approach to ensure that women are always an essential partner in the sustainable development and economic renaissance witnessed by our nation."
