From 15 December 2026, the new service will connect Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) with Frankfurt Airport (FRA), making Frankfurt the airline's second destination in Germany after Munich.
The route will be operated with Air Arabia's Airbus A320neo, offering passengers a modern cabin experience while delivering improved operational and fuel efficiency.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said Frankfurt marks another important milestone in the airline's ongoing European expansion.
He noted that the new route reflects the growing importance of the German market in Air Arabia's network and the continued demand for travel between the UAE and Germany.
Al Ali added that the daily service will offer customers greater choice, convenience and affordable connectivity, while supporting tourism, trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Dietmar Focke, COO of Fraport, said the daily flights will create an important new link between the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region and the UAE, complementing Frankfurt Airport's existing Gulf network.
He added that passengers will benefit from more travel options and access to Air Arabia's extensive route network.
Air Arabia currently connects Sharjah to several key European destinations, including Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick and Rome.
The Frankfurt service will provide German travellers with direct access to Sharjah and the wider UAE, as well as onward connections across Air Arabia's expanding network.
Customers can now book their direct flights between Sharjah and Frankfurt by visiting Arabia’s website, contacting the call centre, or through travel agents.
