Sharjah 24 – AFP: Russian officials announced that recent Ukrainian strikes targeting a Black Sea resort and the Russian-annexed Crimean Peninsula have left 11 people dead and dozens wounded.

Resort strike in Krasnodar

In Russia's Krasnodar region, the death toll from a drone attack on the tourist village of Arkhipo-Osipovka climbed to seven, which includes three children. Local authorities reported that the strike hit the popular seaside destination, and unverified footage circulating online appeared to capture a drone crashing near a crowded beach.

Casualties in Crimea

Meanwhile, the Moscow-appointed regional governor of Crimea stated that a separate Ukrainian strike on the peninsula resulted in four additional deaths.

Broader escalation

These incidents unfold amid a sharp escalation in cross-border attacks between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian strikes inside Russian territory have grown more frequent in recent months, while Russian bombardments continue to batter Ukrainian cities. Recent Russian assaults include a strike on Kryvyi Rih that claimed three lives and an attack in Odesa that left 13 people injured.
