The projects are part of SEWA's ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure, enhance road safety, improve quality of life, and support Sharjah's urban and aesthetic development.
The authority said it continues to implement road lighting projects in line with the highest technical specifications and international standards to keep pace with the emirate's rapid urban expansion and to improve the efficiency of infrastructure and services for residents and visitors.
Engineer Ahmed Al Bass, Deputy Director of SEWA's Electricity Distribution Department, said the projects are part of an integrated strategic plan to continuously develop and modernise lighting networks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance reliability and sustainability through the use of the latest smart technologies.
He added that the authority conducts specialised technical studies to assess the needs of different areas before implementing projects, and applies advanced lighting systems that enhance road safety, improve operational performance and preserve Sharjah's urban landscape.
SEWA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding and upgrading road lighting networks to support sustainable development and the ongoing improvement of public services across the emirate.
