The event will continue until 23 August 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed explored the event's sports facilities, viewed its community programmes and activities, stopped by several pavilions, and received an overview of the integrated sports experiences and facilities available at this year's edition, which serve all segments of the community and promote physical activity throughout the summer.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that investing in sport is an investment in people and society, stressing that providing integrated and inspiring sports environments helps cultivate a culture of healthy living, improves quality of life, and motivates community members to make physical activity part of their daily lives, thereby contributing to public health and social cohesion.

He added that the continued development of sports infrastructure and the organisation of world-class community events reflect Abu Dhabi's vision of building a healthier and more active society by offering inclusive sporting opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, encouraging family participation, and establishing sport as a sustainable way of life.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accompanied on the tour by Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group; along with a number of senior officials.

The fifth edition is the largest in the event's history, covering nearly 48,000sqm and featuring 29 sporting and fitness activities. The event demonstrates its continued growth and strengthens its position as one of the Middle East's largest indoor sports events, supported by Abu Dhabi's world-class sports infrastructure.

Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2026 continues advancing the emirate's efforts to promote a culture of sport and improve community wellbeing by providing a platform that combines sport, health and community engagement.

The event also contributes to fostering a more vibrant and inclusive society while supporting Abu Dhabi's vision of improving quality of life and enabling individuals and families to adopt healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
