Sharjah 24: His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of Border Crossings and Entry Points Affairs at the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organising the introductory seminar on the "Integrated Logistics Corridor between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Sultanate of Oman," in light of the current challenges facing the import sector.

Al Raisi explained to Sharjah 24 that this corridor represents a strategic step, embodying the advanced level of cooperation and coordination between the relevant authorities on both sides.

He noted that the initiative came with the support of the wise leadership of the Sharjah government, through Khorfakkan Port, with the aim of diversifying supply chains and creating additional routes and paths that facilitate the import of goods destined for all sectors in the country, in coordination with the customs authorities of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman.

Al Raisi affirmed that the initial indicators for the logistics corridor are promising, as they have recorded tangible growth in import and export activity through the border crossings of the Emirate of Sharjah, particularly in Kalba (Khatm Al Malaha border crossing) and Al Madam (Al Madam border crossing).
