The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Ghana and reaffirmed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering dialogue, economic cooperation and sustainable development.

Both sides welcomed the success of the forum's fourth edition and praised the productive discussions on economic and development issues of mutual interest, highlighting the vital role of parliaments in promoting prosperity and cooperation among nations.

Saqr Ghobash said that relations between the UAE and Ghana continue to grow steadily across various sectors, supported by the leadership of both countries. He stressed the importance of activating parliamentary friendship committees and expanding exchanges of visits and expertise to strengthen bilateral ties.

The two officials also discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation through the parliamentary friendship committee between the FNC and Ghana’s Parliament, and explored prospects for broader collaboration in the economic, investment and development fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Saqr Ghobash extended an official invitation to the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament to visit the UAE to further strengthen parliamentary relations and promote joint cooperation.
