The new services will complement Emirates’ existing daily flights and respond to sustained growth in travel demand between Accra and Dubai, where seat occupancy remains high throughout the year.
The additional flights will provide enhanced connectivity from Accra to key destinations including Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, Perth, Mumbai, Singapore, New York JFK and Jeddah. They will also improve access to Accra via Dubai from cities such as Delhi, Boston, Los Angeles, Germany and the UK.
Salem Almana, Emirates’ Country Manager for Ghana, said the expansion reflects the airline’s continued confidence in the Ghanaian market and its commitment to supporting growing travel demand.
He added that the increased frequency will strengthen business, tourism and trade links between Ghana and global markets, while supporting the growth of the country’s aviation sector. Through Dubai, passengers will have access to nearly 140 destinations worldwide, while Emirates SkyCargo will also benefit from enhanced freight capacity on the route.
With the introduction of flights EK789/EK790, Emirates will operate 11 weekly services between Dubai and Accra using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
