Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) later clarified that an army brigadier general and his driver were killed when their four-wheel-drive vehicle was struck on the Khardali-Jarmaq road in Nabatieh.

In a separate incident on the same day, the NNA reported an additional drone strike targeting the Al Khalla area in the town of Jouaya, located within the Tyre district. These latest attacks come as Israeli strikes continue to hit parts of southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire that was originally implemented on April 16 and has since been extended twice.
