Dr Ruqaya Awad Al Ketbi stated that the university held the "Innovative Emirati" event was attended by the student body and members of the university's administrative and teaching staff.
Dr Al Ketbi emphasised that the event reflects UODH commitment to providing a stimulating learning environment that fosters innovation and empowers young Emirati talent to transform their creative energies into practical solutions that contribute to building a sustainable future.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Dr Al Ketbi explained that the 25 innovative projects spanned various social, economic, environmental, and technological sectors. Among the most prominent were: the "Al-Marwah" app, designed to serve camel owners and support this authentic heritage sector; the "Sila" app, aimed at strengthening community bonds and social cohesion; the "Emirates Smart Market" project, which seeks to support small and medium-sized enterprises; and the "Itzan" project, focused on raising awareness and developing skills related to rationalising consumption and resource use.
Also featured was the "Sustainable Green Gold" project, which aims to promote agricultural development and produce high-quality organic fertiliser.
