Chinese residents actively and significantly contribute to the Emirates in sectors such as trade, education, hospitality, logistics, and e-commerce. Their integration has been supported by the UAE’s world-class infrastructure, adaptable economic environment, and transparent regulations.
Cheng Fu Qiang, President of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, stated that the country provides a stable and efficient investment environment. He highlighted that streamlined licensing, modern commercial laws, and comprehensive free-zone services have encouraged many Chinese firms to expand, especially in hospitality, hotel supplies, and online trade.
Wei Lu Xin, Director of the Chinese Language Institute – Middle East, highlighted the UAE’s culture of openness and respect for diversity. He noted that an increasing number of Emirati families are learning Chinese, reflecting a desire to strengthen enduring cultural and knowledge connections between the two nations.
Chen Zhi Xiang, Honorary President of the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, commended the country’s rare balance between economic openness and social stability. Having resided in the UAE for over two decades, he emphasised the legal framework that protects all residents, describing his experience as one filled with trust, respect, and equal opportunity.
The UAE’s commitment to coexistence is shown through numerous cultural events organised in partnership with the Chinese Embassy and Consulate, strengthening community bonds and emphasising the country’s dedication to celebrating diversity.
As the world marks the International Day for Tolerance on 16 November, the UAE continues to serve as a global model for embracing diversity, fostering mutual respect, and creating a society where over 200 nationalities coexist and thrive together in harmony.
