Al Qasimi Publications unveils three new releases at SIBF 2025

Sharjah 24: Maryam Jassim Al Sajwani, spokesperson for Al Qasimi Publications, announced the release of three new books by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah: A Compendium of Histories of the Arabian Peninsula and Persia, The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman, and The Wanderings of Love. These books will be showcased at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, held from November 5 to 16 at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Maryam Jassim Al Sajwani stated that these publications highlight the historical, cultural, and narrative contributions of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and reflect his ongoing dedication to documenting the heritage and history of the region.

Comprehensive historical reference in 33 volumes

In an exclusive statement to Sharjah 24, Al Sajwani confirmed that A Compendium of Histories of the Arabian Peninsula and Persia is being published in 33 volumes, providing a thorough historical reference that documents the region’s developments along with their sources. She explained that The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman complements this work by tracing the Portuguese maritime presence and analysing its political and economic impact. Meanwhile, The Wanderings of Love presents narrative material enriched with historical and cultural dimensions, fostering a stronger connection between readers and their heritage.

Additional publications and accessibility

Al Sajwani highlighted that History of the Qawasim is available in five volumes, in addition to the three newly released works. She noted that all titles are accessible electronically through the digital storage unit, while printed copies are available at exhibition booths, making the works widely available for readers and researchers and enhancing the overall reach and benefit of these publications.
