“The idea is to let children have a great time making their own burger muffins, mixing the fun of baking with the excitement of building burgers,” said Amal Sabrawi, the workshop instructor. Children layered cheese, veggies, and toppings inside fluffy muffins, creating mini edible masterpieces while enjoying hands-on learning and imaginative play.
Using simple ingredients like vanilla and chocolate muffins, sugar dough, and colorful buttercream, participants followed instructions to assemble their sweet “burgers.” Chocolate muffins were shaped into patties, sugar dough became cheese slices, and buttercream represented lettuce and tomato, adding both color and texture to their creations.
Vaibhav Raj described the workshop as “the most fun experience I’ve ever had with muffins,” while Mufaddal Mohammed enjoyed “repurposing frosting as ketchup and lettuce,” and Mathew Sleeby loved showing his realistic creation to his parents, who almost tried to eat it like a burger.
