Sharjah 24: The United Arab Emirates will host the Asian Youth Sailing Cup from December 25 to 30, 2025, at Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, in cooperation with the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation.

ASAF awards UAE hosting rights

The Asian Sailing and Rowing Federation (ASAF) granted the UAE the honour of hosting the continental cup following a visit by its president, Dr Malav Shroff, to Al Hamriyah Club last August. Dr Shroff praised the club’s outstanding infrastructure and facilities.

Showcasing youth talent and skills

Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, highlighted that hosting the Asian Cup reflects the UAE’s strong position on the continental and global sports map. He noted that the event provides a platform for young sailors to showcase their talents and develop their skills in modern sailing.

Confidence in UAE’s hosting capabilities

Dr Malav Shroff expressed confidence in the UAE’s ability to successfully host the cup, emphasizing that the event will improve organisational standards and support the development of sailing while preparing a new generation of Asian champions.

Al Hamriyah Club ready for the event

His Excellency Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Club, affirmed the club’s pride in hosting the Asian Youth Cup and confirmed that all preparations are in place to ensure the success of the event.
