The partnership launches IDTrust, an enterprise-grade self-sovereign identity (SSI) platform built on Hedera’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and supported by THA’s Enterprise Accelerator Programme. This milestone marks a significant step in BEEAH’s digital transformation, creating a privacy-focused, secure, and interconnected ecosystem across BEEAH’s operations in environment, energy, real estate, technology, and healthcare.
Since its establishment in 2007, BEEAH has grown into a diverse group centred on five strategic pillars—environment, energy, technology, healthcare, and real estate—forming an integrated ecosystem dedicated to sustainability and innovation. Through intelligent solutions and environmental leadership across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, BEEAH continues to promote a smarter, more sustainable future.
Commenting on the partnership, Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, said, “For years, we have been committed to sustainability, technology, and socio-economic progress. Being among the first in the region to adopt decentralised digital identity across our operations is a key step towards a seamless digital experience for our employees, clients, residents, and partners—aligned with the UAE’s vision for smarter, more sustainable governance.”
The decentralised identity system will be rolled out in stages, beginning with internal use for employee and partner IDs, and then expanding to BEEAH’s subsidiaries and projects, such as smart real estate communities, healthcare facilities, and environmental service platforms. Future stages will explore wider collaboration with government and city-level bodies to bolster BEEAH’s leadership in regional digital innovation.
Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, stated, “Backed by the Hedera Council, our mission at THA is to accelerate the adoption of Hedera globally. The Middle East continues to lead in digital innovation, and our collaboration with BEEAH reflects our shared commitment to enabling secure, scalable, and sustainable digital ecosystems.”
Through IDTrust, BEEAH will deliver secure, privacy-focused authentication services across its operations. Developed by Hashgraph using quantum-resistant cryptographic technology, the solution improves trust in key processes such as customer verification, property ownership validation, medical record sharing, and government service access.
Stefan Deiss, Co-founder and CEO of Hashgraph, stated, “IDTrust offers a privacy-based framework for self-sovereign identity, empowering both institutions and individuals. Our partnership with BEEAH sets a new standard for secure, decentralised corporate identity systems.”
According to Grand View Research, the global decentralised digital identity market was valued at USD 647.8 million in 2022 and is forecast to reach USD 102 billion by 2030, expanding at a compound annual rate of 90.3%.
By adopting Hedera’s decentralised identity framework, BEEAH establishes a regional model for sustainable digital governance, demonstrating how advanced technologies can unlock new frontiers in transparency, innovation, and efficiency across industries.Top of Form
