Strengthening bilateral cooperation
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing economic growth, innovation, and social development. It seeks to foster broader cooperation in ways that serve the mutual interests of the Emirati and Azerbaijani peoples, enhancing the strategic ties between the two nations.
Signing of major agreements
The two presidents also attended the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) covering key sectors such as transport, energy, tourism, media, justice, and workforce development. Agreements were also signed to facilitate container-ship building and establish the UAE-Azerbaijan Business Council, boosting commercial ties and investment.
Focus on innovation, energy, and artificial intelligence
Among the MoUs signed was an agreement between Abu Dhabi Holding Company and Azerbaijan Investment Holding. Another key agreement focused on exploring renewable and clean energy projects within designated green energy zones in the UAE. Additionally, the two countries signed an MoU to develop artificial intelligence tools in education, including an AI-powered virtual tutor and intelligent teaching assistant. A further agreement was signed to support the implementation of Azerbaijan’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025–2028, aimed at enhancing digital transformation and innovation ecosystems.
