Awards ceremony recognises top performers
The award was presented at the UAE Table Tennis Federation’s season-end ceremony at the Lavona InterContinental Hotel in Dubai, attended by federation leaders, club representatives, and the players being honoured. Promising Emirati talent Ahmed Saeed Al Maseebi received the Best Junior Player award following standout performances, including a silver medal at the West Asia Championship. Club coach Captain Ihab Suleiman was named Best Coach of the season.
Sharjah Club’s vision for sustained success
Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of Individual Sports, said the shield marks a historic achievement and recognises years of preparation, investment in talented players, and high-level coaching. He emphasised the club’s strategic focus on developing young Emirati talent, scientific training, and long-term plans to ensure continuity and success across generations. Al Hajri added that the club aims to contribute top players to national teams, proudly representing the UAE in all competitions.
Looking ahead
He concluded that the achievements of the past season will serve as a springboard for further successes, with the club continuously preparing to maintain and build on these accomplishments in future seasons.
The awards ceremony was attended by Engineer Dawood Al Hajri, President of the Federation, Vice President Ibrahim Al Asam, Secretary General Hasan Al Zarouni, and Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Head of Individual Sports at Sharjah Sports Club.
