Mohammed bin Rashid approves AED 2B housing support for Emiratis

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed that housing for Emirati citizens remains a central national priority under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Pillar of social stability

Sheikh Mohammed stressed that adequate housing is one of the key pillars of family stability and social cohesion. He noted the UAE’s commitment to building a comprehensive and advanced housing ecosystem that meets citizens’ needs with high-quality standards and fast delivery timelines.

He praised the continuous efforts and care shown by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed towards the housing sector, highlighting it as a longstanding national approach focused on enhancing community welfare and ensuring dignified living standards for all citizens. Sheikh Mohammed further stated that the housing ecosystem will continue to be developed and closely monitored to guarantee high-quality solutions across the UAE.

Nearly 3,000 new approvals in 2025

The Zayed Housing Programme has issued 2,971 new housing approvals from January to the end of Q3 2025, with a total value of AED 2.069 billion.

Breakdown of housing allocations

The approvals included 522 housing grants under presidential directives, valued at AED 355 million. Additionally, 595 government housing loan approvals were issued worth AED 246.2 million, along with 24 grants or benefits valued at AED 19 million. The largest portion consisted of 1,830 housing finance approvals totaling AED 1.449 billion.

Cumulative progress since 2022

Since July 2022, the Zayed Housing Programme has issued a total of 11,298 approvals, with a cumulative value nearing AED 9 billion—reflecting the ongoing scale and impact of national housing initiatives.
