40 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire in Gaza Strip

Sharjah 24 – AFP: At least 40 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire on Saturday in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been devastated by more than 21 months of continuous conflict. Among the dead were 14 people reportedly killed while waiting for humanitarian aid, and dozens more were injured.

Civil defence confirms casualties

The Gaza Civil Defence confirmed the death toll, stating that Israeli attacks had resulted in widespread loss of life across multiple areas in the Strip.

Three airstrikes hit Gaza City

According to Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, nine Palestinians were killed in three airstrikes targeting Gaza City in the northern part of the Strip.

Deadly attacks near Khan Yunis

Five airstrikes near Khan Yunis claimed 13 lives, including eight people killed in a raid on a displacement camp in the coastal area of Al-Mawasi.

Drone strike targets Nuseirat Camp

Two more people were killed in a drone strike on the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, adding to the mounting civilian toll.

Aid seekers among the victims

In addition, 14 Palestinians were killed in six separate incidents while waiting for humanitarian aid across the northern, central, and southern parts of Gaza. Notably, nine of these casualties occurred in a single incident on the Morag axis in southern Gaza.
