Sharjah24 - WAM: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE is providing diverse humanitarian assistance through the UAE Aid Agency to relieve those affected amid the ongoing crisis in Lebanon.

UAE reaffirms humanitarian commitment

The UAE's assistance reflects the nation's humanitarian mission and its moral responsibilities towards communities and people affected by disasters and crises, while reaffirming its international commitment to providing a swift humanitarian response to those impacted by such emergencies.

Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, reaffirmed the UAE's continued global role in responding rapidly to crises, disasters and emergencies, and in supporting affected communities through comprehensive relief efforts that facilitate early recovery and ensure access to essential needs, including food, medicine, clothing and shelter.

He noted that the Agency will deliver food supplies and other relief materials in coordination with Lebanon's Higher Relief Council to ensure the timely delivery of essential humanitarian services and basic aid to those affected.

Lebanese ambassador commends UAE support

Meanwhile, Tariq Hassan Munaymina, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the UAE, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the UAE—its leadership, government and people—for their steadfast support and solidarity with the Lebanese people under all circumstances.

He praised the UAE's efforts to support Lebanon in addressing its difficult living conditions, meeting urgent humanitarian needs, and promoting peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Longstanding support for Lebanon

The UAE has consistently provided humanitarian and development assistance to the brotherly Lebanese people over the years, including through the 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' campaign, reflecting the values of generosity, solidarity and cooperation deeply rooted in Emirati society.
