Sharjah 24: His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, honoured local and Arab media professionals who contributed to the coverage of the second session of the parliament’s fourth term, which included participants from 14 Arab countries.

Acknowledging the "Unknown Soldiers" of media

Al-Barout praised the efforts of journalists and media workers, describing them as the “unknown soldiers” behind spreading awareness of the Parliament’s work since its establishment in 2019. Their role has been vital in highlighting the efforts of both the members and the General Secretariat.

Focus on cultural identity in parliamentary discussions

Al-Barout stated that the current session, attended by 56 child parliamentarians, focuses on the cultural identity of the Arab child, emphasizing it as a key element in addressing contemporary challenges and nurturing a strong sense of belonging.

Upcoming session in Sharjah

The session is set to take place on Saturday at the Sharjah Consultative Council headquarters, with participation from 14 countries: UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Palestine, Morocco, Mauritania, Libya, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, and Qatar.
