MOI organized forum focused on drug prevention

Sharjah 24: In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which occurs on June 26, the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Council and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, hosted a Drug Prevention Forum under the theme "A Conscious Family... A Safe Society."

Lamia Ahmed Al Zaabi, Head of the Drug Prevention Section at the Federal Anti-Narcotics General Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, articulated that the forum's objective is to enhance public awareness regarding the perils and detrimental effects of drug use. This will be achieved through a series of educational workshops, awareness lectures, and advisory and discussion sessions, involving the participation of various organizations across multiple platforms.

During her interview with “Sharjah 24,” Al Zaabi extended an invitation to parents, their children, and all members of the community to attend and engage in the forum's activities, underscoring the significance of such initiatives in promoting awareness and fostering a secure society.
