Sharjah 24: Khalid Al Hammadi, Head of the Food Control Section at Sharjah Municipality, confirmed that the municipality is preparing for Eid Al Adha with comprehensive strategies and coordinated efforts among all teams. He noted that the Food Control Section has intensified inspection, monitoring, and awareness campaigns across food establishments, which typically experience increased demand during the festive period.

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Hammadi explained that inspectors are ensuring all food establishments adhere to the required health standards and regulations. He added that the municipality plays a crucial role in overseeing imported shipments of food products—such as vegetables, fruits, and meats—at the emirate’s entry points, with specialised teams collecting samples for laboratory testing to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.

He also emphasised the municipality’s commitment to providing safe and high-quality food to the public, which contributed to the enhancement of overall public health in the emirate. Members of the public can report any concerns or complaints at any time via the hotline 993.
