Arab Media Forum opens in Kuwait with strong UAE presence

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum was inaugurated this evening by Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the State of Kuwait. The forum is being hosted in Kuwait over a three-day period under the theme: “Media Challenges in the Era of Technological Advancement and Digital Transformation.”

Key attendees at the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony was attended by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, who is leading the UAE delegation at the forum. Several other ministers, officials, diplomatic representatives, and Arab media professionals were also present to mark the occasion.

Documentary highlights Forum’s 20-year journey

The event kicked off with a documentary film that highlighted the 20-year journey of the Arab Media Forum, showcasing its successful establishment and its significant role in supporting numerous impactful media initiatives across the region.

Minister Al-Mutairi’s opening speech

In his opening speech, Al-Mutairi conveyed the greetings of the forum’s patron, H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait. He also extended his wishes for the continued success of the forum, emphasizing its importance in addressing the evolving media landscape.
