Sharjah24: The concluding round of the UAE Kingfish Championship wrapped up successfully under the supervision of the UAE Marine Sports Federation. The event was organised by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and sponsored by Delma Marine. Taking place at Al Liyyah Canal in Sharjah, it formed part of the 2024–2025 marine sports season calendar. The championship witnessed strong participation, with over 126 anglers competing across four consecutive days for prizes totalling AED 100,000.

The tournament was distinguished by the enthusiastic involvement of competitors and an outstanding level of organisation, helping further cement the status of sport fishing as one of the UAE’s leading marine activities.

Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, stated: “We are proud of the successful conclusion of the second and final round of the UAE Kingfish Championship, which is part of our broader mission to promote marine sports and foster a growing interest in sport fishing among all community segments. The impressive turnout and the high level of competition highlight the sport’s development and increasing popularity.”

Victory for Marwan Ahmed Al Sheikh Majren
The championship ended with Marwan Ahmed Al Sheikh Majren taking the overall lead and earning the Namous (champion’s title), scoring a total of 120 points.
