Sharjah24: The University of Sharjah (UOS) hosted its first-ever TEDx event, titled “TEDx University of Sharjah,” under the theme “Fueling Curiosity, One Talk at a Time.” The event provided students with a dynamic platform to share their inspiring stories, groundbreaking ideas, and unique perspectives across a wide range of fields. UOS students from various colleges delivered engaging talks on topics such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, economics, scientific research, graphic design, science, and physics. Organized by the Deanship of Women's Student Affairs, the event was attended by Dr Amina Al Marzouqi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, along with deans, faculty members, and students.
Dr Amina Al Marzouqi expressed pride in the University of Sharjah for receiving the TEDx license and successfully hosting the TEDx University of Sharjah event. She emphasized the University’s belief in the power of youth and its commitment to providing students with opportunities to share their impactful ideas and support their innovative projects. She also noted that such platforms foster critical thinking and creativity, enabling students to make meaningful contributions to the world.
