As part of its commitment, the Cultural Office collaborated with Sharjah Private School to create a musical play titled "Memorisation Class" on the family theatre stage. Salha Obaid Ghabish wrote the play, which features poetry based on conventional school memorisation texts and music composed by Laila Abou Zikry, Alaa Majid, and Raafat Al Hajjaj. It was directed by Khalida Majid and starred Abdulaziz Anwar, Ghamila Al Ketbi, and Nasser Ghabesh.
The performance consisted of a series of musical vignettes inspired by legacy Arabic school subjects, delivered through a funny exchange between a grandfather and his grandkids. The purpose is to resurrect the tradition of Arabic-language school songs and poems while promoting values such as respect, love for one's mother, national identity, family relationships, and respect for the law—bridging the morality of previous generations with today's educational objectives.
The Cultural Office is also participating in the Poetry Knight competition, which is organised alongside SCRF and aims to improve young participants' poetic tastes and linguistic skills by encouraging them to memorise and perform renowned Arabic poetry.
