Saqr Ghobash reiterates UAE’s support for Palestinian Cause

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ historic and unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that lasting regional stability is unattainable without a two-state solution.

Support for Palestinian rights

He stressed the UAE’s continued commitment to supporting the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, underscoring the need for a serious political process that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 4th June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Solidarity with Gaza

Ghobash expressed the UAE leadership and people’s heartfelt solidarity with Palestinians, particularly those in the Gaza Strip, condemning the widespread killing, destruction, starvation, displacement, and acts of genocide they are enduring.

Participation in international solidarity

His remarks were delivered during the UAE Parliamentary Division’s participation in the first meeting of the Parliamentary Group in Solidarity with Palestine. The session, held in Istanbul under the patronage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was hosted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and attended by 12 parliamentary leaders.
