Sharjah24: The Kumite Federation Cup for youth, held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Sharjah Individual Sports Club, featured remarkable participation from the clubs of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation. Athletes from the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club and Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club excelled with a competitive performance, earning seven colorful medals, including gold, silver, and bronze, amidst strong competition from clubs like Shabab Al Ahli, Dubai Police, and Fujairah Martial Arts.
In the -47 kg weight category (Category A), Sharjah Women’s Sports Club athlete Hoor Ahmed Al Ali achieved two consecutive victories, securing the gold medal and confirming her technical superiority in this category. Eman Kanan also won the bronze medal in the -47 kg weight category (Category B), while Lujain Samah displayed consistent performance in the -54 kg weight category (Category B), earning the silver medal.

Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club athletes also made a notable presence despite facing tough opponents. Al Anoud Mohammed Al Zahmi won the silver medal in the -47 kg weight category (Category A), while Sundus Ibrahim, Nouran Ashraf, and Juna Khalid Al Sayed each added bronze medals after strong matches in the -47 kg, -61 kg, and +61 kg weight categories, respectively.

Coach Radwa Arafa: Youth Category is the Most Competitive
Radwa Arafa, coach of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club team, stated: "The youth category is one of the most competitive levels in the country, always featuring significant participation from clubs and outstanding athletes. Achieving results in this category requires extra effort and meticulous preparation. Our athletes have shown considerable progress; we have noticed a clear improvement in their performance compared to previous competitions, both in physical readiness and confidence in the ring. This progress is a result of continuous work and great discipline during training, and we view this participation as an important milestone to build on our achievements and continue striving for excellence."

These results align with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation's strategy to develop kumite sports among girls and youth, creating a well-organized competitive environment that contributes to building a capable sports generation ready to represent the UAE in local and international championships, with high spirits and commendable efficiency.
