4th Sharjah International Booksellers Conference kicks off

Sharjah 24: Mansour Al Hassani, General Coordinator of Conferences related to Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), announced the activities of the fourth edition of Sharjah International Booksellers Conference, with the participation of more than 660 publishers, distributors, and booksellers from 94 countries around the world.

Al Hassani emphasised that the conference has become a key platform for experts in the global publishing and distribution industry to meet.

Al Hassani added that the conference began with a keynote address by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SBA, highlighting Sharjah's role in supporting the publishing sector and promoting international cooperation.

Sixty publishing houses, in addition to representatives from the distribution and library sectors, are participating in the event, enhancing opportunities for partnerships and exchange of expertise.

Sharjah… a global cultural hub

Al Hassani explained that the conference is one of the pivotal events organised by Sharjah to consolidate its position as a global cultural hub. It brings together prominent figures in the book industry to discuss ways to develop distribution and marketing mechanisms.

Al Hassani invited all stakeholders to visit the conference and benefit from the workshops and seminars held on April 7 and 8 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
