Senior citizens distribute suhoor meals to workers on Zayed Day

Sharjah Volunteer Work Centre organised a volunteer opportunity under the title "Love and Loyalty to Zayed the Benefactor", with the participation of senior citizens from the department's Elderly Services Centre, and was dedicated to workers. 

This volunteer opportunity, on this dear day, goes to the members of the Al Asalah Club for the Elderly, who benefit from the department's services. They expressed their desire to participate in the initiatives dedicated to this anniversary. They provided suhoor meals, prepared in their homes to be distributed to the working class in Al Nouf Park in Sharjah from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. 

Volunteers from Sharjah Volunteer Work Centre and elderly members of Al Asalah Club participated in organising the distribution and packaging, commemorating the memory of Zayed and also presenting a picture of social solidarity.

 Reaffirming commitment to the legacy of the founding leader 

It's worth noting that the "Love and Loyalty for Zayed " initiative, launched in 2018 and continuing to this day, is an annual event to reaffirm commitment to the legacy of the founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in giving, helping those in need, and extending a helping hand to all vulnerable people around the world. During his reign, the UAE has become one of the largest donors of humanitarian and relief aid relative to its national income.
