The first day will be attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, while the second day will be chaired by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah.
Prof. Tod Laursen, Chancellor of AUS, highlighted the significance of the event in a statement to Sharjah24, saying: “We are very excited about the upcoming conference that we are doing in partnership with the University of Sharjah. The first day will be hosted on the University of Sharjah’s campus, and the second day will be here at the American University of Sharjah. We see this joint effort as a valuable opportunity to combine the teaching innovation at our institutions with global expertise, with participation from 20 countries and other universities in the UAE.”
Laursen emphasised that the conference will serve as a key platform for discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence in higher education, including emerging pedagogies, classroom innovations, and the evolving role of AI in shaping academic experiences. He added: “This event will bring together scholars to engage in-depth with current best practices in higher education that are responsive to technological advancements.”
The conference will provide a collaborative environment for academics, researchers, and industry experts to explore AI-driven transformations in education, with a focus on enhancing creativity and innovation through digital transformation.
