Sharjah Charity Run set for 9 March

The race is set to commence and conclude in front of the Grand Mosque, aiming for 500 male and female participants. There are four distance categories: 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km. The event is scheduled to commence at 9:40 PM, following the Tarawih prayers. This will be succeeded by an awards ceremony, during which winners will be presented with medals that represent the historical importance of the occasion.

Dr Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department, emphasised the impressive success of the race in its last three editions, drawing a diverse group of participants. He highlighted that the event not only encourages fitness but also fulfils a charitable mission by backing The Big Heart Foundation. Al Doukhi extended an invitation to running enthusiasts to participate in the event and experience the distinctive atmosphere of Ramadan, highlighting that the race supports charitable initiatives during this sacred month.
