Sharjah24: On the vibrant second day of the Xposure International Photography Festival, the dynamic lenses of Sharjah24 are actively navigating through the bustling vendor area, capturing extensive interviews with some of the most talented photographers. Among the standout talents is Søren Solkær, who takes audiences on an enchanting visual journey through his remarkable "Black Sun Project". This project chronicles six years of dedication to chasing mesmerising starlings birds across Europe, showcasing the beauty and complexity of nature.
“Once you connect with nature, the journey as a photographer truly begins,” Solkær passionately urged the new generation of photographers to engage with the natural world in order to capture more creative photos. He added, “The first photograph you capture is often the easiest—one that many people take. However, as you dive deeper into a project and invest more time, you start to discover unique perspectives that no one else has captured before.” Solkær explained that it’s all about focus, patience, and genuinely communicating with nature, affirming that each moment spent in the wild reveals new details and emotions, transforming ordinary scenes into extraordinary works of art.

He also emphasised the importance of perseverance: “If you commit to a long-term project, it will eventually reward you with countless extraordinary moments.” His insights resonate with aspiring photographers, inspiring them to explore the world around them with curiosity and dedication.
