Sharjah Council committee drafts health recommendations

Sharjah 24: The Recommendations Draft Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council convened yesterday at the council headquarters. The meeting focused on discussing views for preparing recommendations for the Sharjah Health Authority, as part of the committee's work for the second regular session of the eleventh legislative term.

This meeting follows the council's ninth session, which previously discussed the Sharjah Health Authority's policy. Jassim Mohammed Al Henawi Al Naqbi chaired the meeting, with committee members participating in discussions about the general framework for preparing the recommendations.

 Discussion and recommendations

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the main axes of the anticipated recommendations. These included several proposals to support the continued development of Sharjah Health Authority services, with a focus on:

- Enhancing medical service efficiency

- Expanding health coverage

- Improving care for citizens and residents in Sharjah

 

 Chairman's statement

Al Henawi emphasised the importance of utilising the outcomes from the general session that discussed the Authority's policy. He noted that the recommendations to be submitted to the council would reflect members' visions and proposals aimed at improving health services and meeting community needs.

The chairman also stressed the committee's commitment to involving diverse perspectives and supporting recommendations that enhance community awareness about the importance of continuing to develop and improve health sector services.

 

 Conclusion and next steps

At the end of the meeting, members agreed to draft the recommendations based on the discussions held. These will be prepared for presentation to the Consultative Council at the next session for approval.
