Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, the head of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, attended the festival alongside several important figures. These included Saeed Obaid Al Shamsi, who directs the Amiri Court in Al Hamriyah, and Saif Obaid Al Shamsi, the leader of the Al Hamriyah Council. Other attendees were Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, who heads Al Hamriyah Municipality, Humaid Fayez Al Shamsi, the Vice Chairman of the Al Hamriyah Municipal Council, and Saqr Mohammed, who oversees the branches and centers of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage.

The heritage events in Al Hamriyah are designed to connect the past with the present and to use elements from our heritage to achieve future successes. These events feature a variety of activities, entertainment, and cultural programs, along with traditional shows and competitions. There are also areas dedicated to local families and popular foods. The main goal is to help children and young people feel more connected to their cultural roots and to introduce them to the rich popular heritage of the United Arab Emirates.

Opening Ceremony Highlights

At the opening ceremony, the "Al Ayala and Al Aazi" bands showcased lively performances that celebrated popular and traditional culture. Guests were invited to explore the Heritage Village, where they learned about various programs, activities, workshops, and theatrical shows that highlight the richness of local traditions. Family and Children’s Activities

During the festival, visitors and families enjoyed various competitions designed especially for children. These activities brought lots of joy, as winners received valuable gifts and prizes. This fun-filled event was made possible through the cooperation of different departments and institutions within the Sharjah government, ensuring that everyone had a wonderful time.

The event began with a beautiful poem performed by the municipal poet, Salma Al Shamsi, who celebrated the rich Emirati heritage through her words. Following that, the Al Hamriyah Suburb Council organized a competition called (Barakat Al Dar), highlighting the importance of connecting younger generations with their cultural roots. The activities continued with another poem, this time by Maryam Al Naqbi, which was showcased by the Al Hira Literary Council. Afterward, a fun competition was held to find the most beautiful traditional costume, inviting families to dress their children in heritage-inspired outfits during the opening ceremony. Lastly, there was a lively movement competition for the kids, led by experts from the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club.
